The reason why I attended this event because l was looking for one last event to go to before finishing my degree at New England Tech. I didn’t want to miss out on an opportunity where I could network with new people and learn about current events in New England. I chose a marketing event was because I wanted to learn a bit more about marketing and events that are happening in the marketing world.
My friend and I spoke with a couple of women who were involved in marketing, but a background in graphic design. They told us that we limited our skills set towards one area, but expand our knowledge. They told us that employers are looking for people who have experience with multiple backgrounds and can more than one job.
My friend and I spoke with David Masulli who was the person that was hosting the event. We talked the benefits of working from house and other events that HubSpot does through the year. We also talked to other people and discussed social media marketing and SEO. By end of the night, I handed out all of my business cards that I brought to the event.
At the moment, no one has contacted me and discussed any opportunities Also, my friend and I were like the only ones who brought their business cards.
